2026 Updates

New Year, New DMS?
Not really. We’re just refining and simplifying things down to what’s proven to work best.
That means simple, efficient events, welcoming to everyone, with the focus on having fun and growing the local community. We’ve trimmed what didn’t work and doubled down on what does. We even refreshed the logo!
What’s Changing for 2026
Classing & Rules
The classing system has been simplified and refocused to better reflect what shows up at DMS events: street cars.
We used a mix of driver feedback (and yes, some healthy AI nerding out) to dial things in.
For 2026, the structure is:
4 Race Classes
1 Exhibition Class (for fun only)
Most drivers should be able to class themselves in under a 2 minutes. If you get it wrong — no stress. We’ll sort it out at the event.
Event Name Update
StratoAttack is now StratoSprint.
Same event, clearer name. It better reflects what it actually is — a track sprint — and avoids confusion with lapping-style time attack events.
Starting Line Changes
To reduce the advantage of certain cars off a standing start, we’ve adjusted where timing begins:
StratoSprint: start sensor moved ~120 ft down track
StratoCross: start sensor placed ~5 ft before the first cone
This helps level the field across different cars and puts the focus where it belongs: driving, not launches.
Season Pass
Even simpler for 2026:
One price
All events included
20 passes available
If you plan on coming out regularly, this is by far the easiest (and cheapest) way to do the season.
Season Passes go on sale March 1st at 6pm
If the last two seasons are any indication, these won’t last long.
Event Dates & Format
All Thursday evenings
One Saturday finale — The StratoCup
Thursday nights have been a hit and consistently sell out, so we’re sticking with what works.
2026 Season Format:
6 × StratoCross events
2 × StratoSprint events
1 × StratoCup (finale)
Season Points
Points have been updated and simplified to keep the championship battle closer:
Your worst two regular events are dropped
Class wins will come down to the final event
Low pressure if you don’t care about points. Extra fun if you do.
Thursday Event Refund Policy
Because Thursday events often sell out weeks in advance and spots are difficult to backfill on short notice, all Thursday event registrations are non-refundable.
If you can’t attend, your spot may be transferred or sold to another driver — just notify us so we can update the registration.
This policy helps prevent spots from being held “just in case” and later cancelled, which blocks other drivers from getting in.
Preventing Event Delays
A few small changes to keep events running smoothly — especially on tight Thursday schedules.
Timing Tower Access
The timing tower will be off-limits while cars are on track. Running timing is easy… until one moment of distraction causes chaos. We learned that one the hard way last season.
Turn 7 Chicane (StratoSprint)
A small chicane will be added before Turn 7 to scrub speed.
Even with the extra cones added last year, the bump in this corner can unsettle cars. A spin here can quickly turn into a major delay — or worse, an early shutdown. This isn’t ideal, but it’s a purely preventative change to keep events smooth and beginner-friendly.
2 Red Flag Policy
If a driver causes two red flags that delay the event due to car issues or going off track, they’ll be done for the night. This isn’t a punishment — it’s about keeping events on schedule when time is limited.
Noob School
Same proven format as last year, with one new option:
You can now attend just the event walkthrough + parade laps if you want to learn the basics and get a feel for things before fully committing.
No helmet required for this option
Registration opens February 15th
The StratoCup (Season Finale)
This is where season class wins are decided. With the dropped-event system in place, the seasonal points race will come down to this event.
For 2026, we’re moving away from cash prizes and putting more focus on giveaways and prizes that everyone has a shot at — not just the podium finishers. The goal is to make the finale more fun, more exciting, and more rewarding for all drivers who show up and participate.
Bottom Line
Same DMS vibe.
Cleaner rules.
Smoother events.
More fun.
We’re looking forward to another solid season of killed cones, laughs, and questionable driving 🏁
Key Dates:
Noob School registration opens February 15th
Season Passes go live March 1st
